Bird photography at J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge

Even though I am a professional photographer, I still like to go out and take pictures just for fun. I recently did just that!           I called my father-in-law, a retired biology teacher who loves wildlife and the wilderness and asked him if he would like to join me for a ride through the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. He readily accepted and brought along his binoculars and bird books to be my "wing" man. It was not ideal photography conditions, overcast and in the middle of the day,  but it was just for fun it did not matter too much. Armed with my father-in-law as chief spotter and me with my 400mm 2.8 Canon lens we set off and this is what I photographed:By the way: if anyone is interested in renting a Canon 400 f/2.8L IS USM telephoto lens give me a call. I also have other lenses, tele converters and bird photography equipment available for rent. Reddish EgretBlue HeronJuvenile EgretA Yellow-Crowned Night HeronAmerican White PelicansDunlinsOsprey and its chick
